    I inherited an Optimus 1550/500cp from my Dad. I ordered a rebuild kit from Sweden. It has no instructions. Anyone got them? Also I have leaks from solder under nuts. Can I just resolder.

    Instructions shouldn't be a problem, but I'm away the next couple of days. Which nuts are you talking about? It's usualy not a problem to resolder a fiting, but you have to be careful it's not one that might drop off inside (not that I can think of any on a 1550 that would do that).

    That's odd - my translator gave me, "Don't put soup on your roses"...

    @Fjellot
    Matti, Fjellot hasn't been logged in here since last summer, but perhaps he'll see your question one of these days. I tagged him, which might help.
    Otherwise you have instructions for many lanterns in the reference library here, and they shouldn't differ much. E.g. this Anchor, which is pretty similar to these late Optimus. It's not a very good scan, but I think you can read the essential things.
    It' s pretty straight forward, so shouldn't be any problems to figure out for yourself.
    Perhaps you should start a new topic if you have some specific problems or questions.
