Last image just to compare against a 1081.
Good to have a scraped 1081 to take some spares from it.

@Juan , your 981 looks in good condition. Congratulations

The 1081 doesn't look too bad either. :-k

I thought I just needed a 981 to be happy with my Primus collection. Now have to get a 1081 as well.
Just going to have to go to Sweden this summer and search every junk shop I can find.

Just thinking. Was there a 1381 or are the alcohol vapours far too dangerous for the quick lighter?:-k

There are three here in the gallery. So far I havn't had mine working as I have to sort out a cleaning needle. Even though it has a preheat torch, I would use the priming dish. It doesn't take much for an alcohol lamp.

Nice lamp btw Juan. The 981 is one of my favourite Primus models. :)

Thank you, gentlemen. The lantern is nice and after a good cleaning session I could light it. I had to work a little on the jet because it was a little bit worn. Not perfect but it works.
Nils: my pricker needle is broken too and I pricker it from the outside.

In fact, the 1081 is better condition, just dirtier because stored for a long time.
