    Hi all
I wonder about this : I just found a Primus 992 lamp and I realise the fount is stamped "991". Is it possible the fount of the 991 and 992 to be interchangeable or it is an employee error ?

The 991 and 992 tanks are identical, apart from the number. I have also seen a 991 with a 992 tank.

Just the way it should be. :)

I forgot to ask, what year is it from?

1952 is correct. AR tell us that.
But just the year. There's no code for the month.

If AR means 1952, what does the numbers 11 mean?

    It is not known.
Perhaps a number of a work- or assembly station along the line of manufacturing.
    Or a quality station.
Or a number designed to one of a bunch of quality inspectors.
Take a guess of your own ;)

    Or just ignore the number.

Whichever tank it's got, it is a thing of beauty!

    Thanks Christer.
Just curious to know as I've just got myself a second Primus(a 991) with X28 stamped at the bottom of the fount.
At least this one appears to be more original compared to my earlier 'ultra-hybrided' 1050 (Thread: Some doubts about this Primus).

Congratulations. As far as I know, this is the first year the 991 was made.

    Thanks Nils,
Nice to know that. Its still unfettled, not cleaned and as found. Haven't inspect the internals yet. Hope its restorable.
