Here a NOS Bosse Firebrand with 350CP, probably made on the same machines like Pico-Star, Day-Lite and Petro-Pintsch.
Can you show us the other markings on this lantern. I assume it is marked as 350 cp somewhere. Is there a model number with it and is it marked as Made in Germany? Is there anything marked on the control wheel? The other Bosse we have seen has angled vent slots like Day-Lite and Picostar. They are marked Made in Germany and have CL on the control wheel. Has to be the same manufacturer but it would be good to see all the markings on this one please. ::Neil::
Here are some pictures. on the 5th. picture are my Petro-Pintsch (left, the wheel is also unmarked) and the Bosse (right).
I've got a telephone call from Jörg Wekenmann two hours ago, he and Hans-Werner Jehn find out, that the lanterns (Picostar, Day-Lite and Bosse)are all made from Meyer & Niss (Hamburg-Bergedorf/Grmany), the company which made the "Turm-Ofen". He told me, they find a lot of papers about these lanterns.
Hi Karli, this one will never light My other pressure-lanterns get the stuff from Aral, or other gasstations in our neighbourhood.
Great information. We have been wondering who made these lanterns for years. I would very much like a copy of this paper for these if it can be arranged. I have a huge paper pile here and will be very happy to share info. ::Neil::
I've got a further Information from Hans-Werner, he wrote me, it's just a handful of paperwork and only about Picostar and Day-Lite.
I have never seen any paper for Picostar before and the only Day-Lite paper I have does not give any indication of the maker so whatever he has would be interesting and for sure at least some of it will be paper I have not seen before. I would certainly like a decent sized copy of that Picostar leaflet. ::Neil::
