Picked up this old lady on a local auction site. Paid about 20euro. It's in a pretty beat up condition, collar of course is broken. The air screw was missing, so I got a new one from Conny at fogas.se. Original glass also broken. The vaporiser was all laced up with wire. I removed it unfortunately before thinking about photos. Nickel plating is also peeling away. It's not pretty by any means. I am just hoping for a everyday user. (A lot of snow in the background as pics are from February) All broken down. The pricker was broken and vaporiser totally blocked The hood had been cut for an unknown reason. Cleaned and back together, ready for a pre-heat. Nice blue flame In the end I put on a cheap Butterfly 400cp mantle. It didn't inflate properly so didn't feel like making any more pics. Next project for when I get home, is to solder the collar together and replace the mantle. Looking forward to some darker evenings. Been working in the Barents Sea the for last month and have had 24 hour daylight. Hopefully Nils will pop up and give me date range.
You have done good work there. After you’ve soldered the collar and installed a suitable mantle it will be a beauty. Another lamp saved for the now and future generations to enjoy, well done. Cheers Pete
Hi! It is a pleasant workhorse. Very silent as well. My variation is a red top without the "Ltd" in the name marking and the airpump locking device. Regards
It's cleaned up nicely @MarkC . 1934-1937. Based on the following Radius characteristics: 1. This lantern has the pressure relief valve filler cap introduced in 1934 2. This lantern does not have the Fuel gauge for the fuel level patented in 1937.
