I light my Ex4 tilley every year in her memory, my lantern is nearly as beautiful as my mum. 20190821_165432.jpg

Good on you mate. We only get one mum and they’re so special. I’m sure your mum will love her tribute.

That is a lovely lamp, i love the tilley logo on the glass.
Lamps are even more special when they have sentimental value.

I lit my FS on my Mam’s Birthday in 2017 but she didn’t make it to her birthday last year and I couldn’t bear to light the lamp then. I think about her every day anyway.

As Pete said, we only get one mum. What would we have done without them?
As a girlfriend once said to me, ‘what is it with boys and their mums?’......

    A really nice gesture mate.

I was certainly not a mummys boy, sometimes tough love, compassion, tolerance, generosity, understanding, mothers advice. Most of all unconditional love

I was no angel when I was young, my old mum took the time with me and put me right... like you said Darryl, unconditional love. Even when I was being a complete toe rag...

A moving tribute. I going to follow your lead and make a point of firing up my lamp each April in honour of my Dad. Can see him now fiddling with our old Tilley over fifty years ago. He always made sure to keep us safe. If he lit it in the hut we had to go outside and sit in the car. If he lit it outside we could sit in the hut. Respect the Tilley!
