I'm trying to revive on old Petromax, but two joints are dead (see picture). Could someone let me know the names/models of these joints and where I could find them, either here in Switzerland or online? Thanks
Welcome aboard! I assume that you mean washers and seals and if so, then the link below shows relevant information. https://fettlebox.co.uk/index.php
BTW, to me that seems more to be an Optimus... You should also replace the rubber seal of the pump NRV and the rubber seal of the torch preheater. BR, Martin K.
I think you're right Martin. Definitely an Optimus 1350 or 1550. The shade looks like it could be an old Primus shade as I think I can see four cutouts around the inner hole. Anyway, back to the question. As the others have said, replace all the seals and washers. That would be the filler cap washer, pump valve or non return valve (NRV) pip, pump leather and possibly the O ring in the quick starter (depending on the type of quick starter).

Hi...did you ever get new seals for your lamp? Where did you get the O ring for the preheater? Do you remember a part number or dimensions for this O ring?
I get your point and I have tried closing it off with some firm pressure..but it still weeps. The box that it came in showed signs of staining with kerosene and I think this maybe the reason the previous owner sold it on. I did get the lantern alight using the quickstart preheater but it flared and soothed the glass. It starts easily on meth and that's the way I'll go. Just need to resolve this O ring prob I think. The ring feels quite hard.
