    Hi all,

This is the "Le Merveilleux" radiator/heater from around 1930 and made by the French company
"Etablissements Teissier" in Paris. This is a company we don't know much about; it seems to have manufactured? and sold mostly stoves.

There is no paper for this radiator, but obviously many parts are from the company of Moufflet & Cie and the "Cobra" parabolic radiator. Except for the font, handle and pan support stand, there are all "Cobra" parts. All burner parts as well as the parabolic reflector with holder, are identical with parts
on my Cobra radiator. So probably a collaboration with the two companies involved, or
Teissier bought in parts for their radiator. I have no doubt that Moufflet & Cie is the maker of these parts.

The condition of this radiator was terrible. The nickel plating was worn out and the parabolic reflector had several big cracks. You also had to re-solder the burner, handle and connecting font nut to make it possible to de-assemble the radiator parts.

After cleaning, re-soldering and assembling the parts and with a "new" old parabolic reflector (from Cobra parts I already had), the radiator fired up nicely. Probably the radiator was originally equipped with a wire guard as on the Moufflet Cobra radiator, but we need paper proof of that to be certain.

A nice addition to my French collection with a new brand, not many left.

    Hi Conny
You still have some work ;-)
Yes, there was a guard on this heater

As on Cobra heater, one could bought an 'humidificateur" , not a frying pan ;-)
We don't know many things about the Etablissements Teissier, they were manufacturer but also sellers
and they had a repairation activity for Ekinox for example

this firm also built stoves as this one

Or this one on Ebay those days : ancien rechaud a pression (lampe) | eBay

Thanks all, and thanks Michel for that update!
It is always nice having a positive image confirmation.
So a humidifier as on the Cobra radiator. However I think I would be able
to fry an egg on that stand ;)!
With a wire guard it should look like this then !?…………

    Hi Conny
Oddly, there was only 2 brass dishes on this Merveilleux instead of 3 on Cobra heater.

Yes, even if you could cook an egg, it wasn't done for that
One could buy an "humidificateur" like this one : You put some water that evaporated in the heat

I found one by chance, but I've never seen another
I think that few of these accessories were bought in the 30s and few people remember its real usefulness nowadays
