I'm sorry to be the bearer of this, but I feel it is important to support the WHOLE pressure lantern community. This thread was began on Nov 11, over at the CCF. I felt it was important to convey this information to all of you here, in the hopes it will do some good.

Hmm... pity. I'm afraid I'm not very good with computicators.

We've had a very unpleasant incident over at the CCF involving a person who earned the trust of many of the members, only to scam them out of lanterns, accessories, etc. Some members were directly affected. The individual(s)have been tracked to Hawaii. I thought it best to inform the forum here to beware of this individual, as they come across as being an honest pressure lantern enthusiast. This individual has gone by the following names on various forums and websites:

    Hybrid, Hybrid808, Warm-Tint, 808coldsteel, and Bowtechman808, FATSO, and brasslantern.

Please use caution when dealing with this individual, as one of the members has tracked this person to the CPL forum, where they have responded to posts here and may be "lurking". Its a pity to have to bear this news.

    Thanks, Chris.

Assuming you know this person's name here, perhaps you could inform the Mod team of the situation so that it can be monitored...
