Just about got everything ready to load for Ashover and the Festival of Light this weekend. Will problem try a squeeze a few more in the car if I can. Let’s hope the weather picks up. Going to try and get 30 pressure lamps lit this year.
@Gary Waller Bloody hell mate, you need a truck .......... O’ by the way, do you have my address? Seriously have fun and post pictures. Cheers Pete
Just the one FL6 Tony, love them but they are a big lamp. Gary is beating me, I'm aiming for around a dozen lit, got lots of LEDs to brighten up the awning as well. Will be doing our bit to add to the theme of the event. Martin
Yes it is the early one, brass badge and narrow long pump. Not been used since last year, but it’s usually reliable.
Bugger ....... what a blow. I haven’t yet been to a similar gathering, but I’m busting to do so, so I do empathise with you being gutted, coz I sure would be. Has an alternate date been suggested? Cheers Pete
Feel sorry for you Matt after all your packing, very impressive. But better safe than sorry, better not to travel.
Arhhhhhhhh! Hours of polishing, all sorts of bits bought for my display, everything packed and ready to go arhhhhh!
Taking advantage of the good weather we’ve had today, Nigel and his wife and myself decided to have our own Ashover 2.0 at a local campsite. It’s a bit chilly out, but at least it’s not raining... yet. Still sad that the real event couldn’t go ahead, but stuff happens and hopefully next year will be more successful.
@Mathew Good on you, weather's been good here too and the only thing that stopped me doing something similar (in the garden) was, Wednesday night is quiz night. Henry.
