Ditmar Maxim 501 from January 1939

    Hi there, at last antique fair I found this lamp, it is without globe and has some dent on the tank but looks quite interesting. At the bottom is 01 then 9, so I guess this is date of production...I exchanged it for working Tilley X246, guy was happy and I was happy:) 01.jpg 02.jpg 03.jpg 04.jpg 05.jpg

    In my opinion you got the better deal, if everything is working properly on the 501, I would take it over an X246. Now, having placed my foot in my mouth, this would depend on just what model X246 Tilley you traded! :-k:?:

    I think that globe is a bit too short for this model of lamp.
