Looks good! I really like this model but am yet to locate one locally. Did you get yours locally? I’m currently fettling one of the later green 300x with the steel hood (almost finished) waiting for a new globe to arrive. I’ve just located a second one to keep it company. (I had to have a second one for some reason....) It seems like a fair few of the later 300X made it to Australia, but a lot less of the earlier version in your post.
Why is it that we have to have at least two of everything? I'm great at doing that. This is a nice lantern. Mine is maroon color. Got it from a guy in England. Can't seem to find them too easy over here. Maybe it's for the best or I had two, or three, or.....
@kero-scene I’m really sorry, but I got it very locally to you: at a second hand store in Bungendore! I’ve left it clean and fettled, but ‘as found’ (ie, no paint job). I like it a lot. I’ll post it in the Reference Gallery soon. Cheers Tony
That’s a nice find Tony and she’s running well. These are well made lanterns and I do like them. I haven’t seen any in my foraging sorties, they seems to be light on the ground here in Queensland. Cheers Pete
@Tony Press I think I know the store, but have not been out that way for quite some time. I’ll need to reassess the route of my regular lamp seeking quests. My 300X comes from about four times further away...
@george @David Shouksmith I blame David for even wanting one Bialaddin. Six years as a member of the same forum as David has me brainwashed to the point I need lots of Bialaddins.
If you're like me, "you need help!" but not more Bialaddins! Who says going out of your mind over lanterns ain't fun!!lol
