Excellent lantern, Darryl! Make sure you get good photos of the label. It will be great to see this well illustrated in the Reference Gallery. Cheers Tony @Darryl Durdin
Darryl I don’t recall ever seeing a Radiant Star transfer like that one (I’ll have to check). I note it appears to have a reference to Pennant Kerosene. The Handi glass fits a few of the Glorias and this “Son of Gloria”. The original globes were straight sided 114mm high by 103mm Outside Diameter - a dimension extremely difficult to get hold of. Cheers Tony
Thanks for the information, either way, I'll take pictures and document everything. Still an exciting find
Good on you Darryl! It took me three years to find my first one in the wild I am very interested in that label so looking forward to a close up of it . You’ll be amazed how loud and bright they run ! These have an interesting past Check out Neils sight for the history lesson ! Again Well done !
This is whats left on the tank, I've enlaged it as much as my phone will allow, picture with and with out flash.
I’d say it’s: Collins Bros Radiant Star Kerosine Lantern Clarence St Sydney Use Pennant Kerosine Cheers Tony
