Hi everyone ...my name's Ernie This is my first post on this forum .. although new to this forum I'm a member of the CCF and an avid collector of lamps and lanterns . I recently acquired a Bialaddin 305 military version lantern and I'm having a problem locating a globe for it . Would someone be able to help me out with a source for one ? Thanks very much ...Ernie
Thank you Jeff ! I purchased a globe from a seller in the UK on eBay but the glass doesn't fit . It was described to fit a Bialaddin 305 but I think the military version 305 has a different size frame then the civilian model . Thanks ..Ernie
@JEFF JOHNSON is correct, I've just picked one up from ebay UK myself, having just purchased a 305 without glass.
That glass looks too big, not bialaddin. The base camp base-camp.co.uk sell a good quality replacement glass, you need a v60 which fits all long glass bialaddin and vapalux lamps.
@paul m re glass, just popped out to the shed to retrieve it. It measures diameter 9.7cm (across the top), and is 11.3cm tall (from top to bottom). The photos below show it fitted in the lantern, and the markings on the glass. Pick it up last week.
