Chrome Cleaner!

    Hi there!

    I need some chrome cleaner for my R1 can anyone recommend me the ideal substance to use please?

    I use Autosol for just about every type of metal. Not that many things get polished though.

    Solvol Autosol, available from Halfords is what you need.

    Ok,

    Wont the grit in the solvent take off the chrome off?

    Autosol is a very good polish but it is aggressive so you need to be careful with it on brass or nickel. Chrome plate however is very hard and does not polish down near as easily as nickel so you can use it on Tilley plated reflectors without too much risk of damage. ::Neil::
