    Hi folks,
I got a junker inverted lantern that was missing the original pump and air stem. I had an old Coleman pump that I salvaged from a rusted out Coleman 413G stove tank. So I decided to just switch them out. They are the same diameter and it soldered up beautifully. Took about 30 minutes total. Notice the original pump tube simply has a hole on top as it sits close to the top of the tank anyway. I cut the Coleman air tube leaving about an 1/8 inch and cut most of the original flange off the tube. I didn't want to mess with trying to heat and remove the rest as I remember having to heat that stuff to nuclear temps to get it to let go before. So I cut it as flush as I could and filed it down. Figure that leftover ring will add a bit of strength to help keep it round anyway. Pumps and hold pressure nicely. Here are some pics:

I really feel that the Coleman pump and check valve are far superior to any others. The positive shutoff along with no rubber seals in the check valve make them the best design. But then, there is the matter of availability. Old Coleman tanks and other parts are plentiful here in the U.S.
