Recently rebuilt an Aladdin A-1. Added this to my collection recently and built a pump cup, cap gasket and pip. The fount had two stress cracks so I lined with Casswells after resoldering the valve bung back in. I had recently added a Aladdin PL-1 and got the A-1 to go with it. Surprised boy how well both of them work. This is the first site I’ve seen somewhere with these in a discussion.

Welcome to the forum Keith. Your 1A (not A-1) is one of the later variations with the black enamel top and the bakelite pump knob. It does still have the transfer on the tank instead of the later metal sticker, so not the latest variation. My guess (and it is only a guess) would be that it is from the late 60s or early 70s. Hopefully someone else has a better idea of dates. To the moderators. Shouldn't this lamp have it's own thread?
