Hello, I have had this lamp for, at least, 20 years. The general condition is fine but the nozzle is missing. I guess it is an HS lamp because of the logo on the tank but I had never confirmation of this. What do you guess? It has no other marks. Juan
Juan, The nozzle is what the mantle ties onto? I'm asking because over the years I have seen people refer to a jet/tip as a nozzle.
Yes, Matty. This is what I mean with nozzle: the ceramic stuff where to hang the mantle up. @Conny C I took your image without your permission!!
Juan, nice lamp and most likely from Hugo Schneider AG. The ceramic burner nozzle is also called "burner nose". I´m not sure the Humphrey gas nose has the same threads, but it is a possibility Paulin Humphrey and Mr Heater L12-2a Preformed Burner Nose for sale online | eBay.
@Juan Surely, someone, somewhere has a nozzle that you could buy. Perhaps you could find the measurements and post them? Are there any modern day nozzles that might fit it?
I guess this has to be screwed on a mixing chamber. Isn't it? In this case, I have to find one. Are these noses yours, Wim?
They screw on a gas lamp fitting: If I remember well the ceramic nozzle screw into a thin brass tube. I used one from a Graetzin indoor gaslight. Unfortunate these parts tend to burn up. Or simply drilled through for an electric cable. Yes these are mine like the gasmantles I got from the late "Henk de gasman". Btw Your Graetzin 915 has the same setup.
@WimVe - Wim, I got a similar gas nose (as those in your plastic bag) on an alcohol donut I am just now restoring. Tried it on the mixing tube for the Lipsia lamp and it fits. Nearly 18 mm threads. Could use a couple for two unrestored gravity lamps that is missing the burner nose with the same diameter. /Conny
