Delivery of wood today, late afternoon that need clearing off the drive. As the light was failing I remembered the shelve bracket in the shed that could potentially mount a lantern. Screwed bracket to shed, found a small clip, selected suitable lantern, lit 220J just as light was failing, and continued working late in to the evening. Lanterns are great as a hobby, but even better when they have a practical day to day use as well (it sure beats the head torch I've used in the past for this task!) Bright idea: Lantern set to task: 2 hours later, job done. Full woodshed, time for a beer.

@AussiePete Thanks for the complements. The beer was great, and the light good enough to see what I was doing. Just thought I'd add - I've you to blame for having a Coleman hanging there in the first place . You have tempted me over to the "dark side" with your fine fettles and good looking lanterns. BTW, it (and others I've picked up) run bloody well. This one is fast becoming my go to lantern when light is required. Thank you Pete.
@ColinG , I am very much with you there. Even better that you are stacking wood in a shed you built, lit by a lantern you fettled, and that the wood won't be heating the house for another 8 - 12 months is the icing on the cake. I plan spending my summer in the garden listening to my wood season! @BigStevie and @Jean J the beer tasted very good, thank you.
