I have lit my coleman northern star for my dad in heaven, its been 10 years we love and miss him.
The story of my northernstar is that it is one of my first lanterns, i didnt buy it, but was given it.
When i was first getting into lanterning, my fellas were doing a job in out back Sth Australia, miles from anywhere, they pulled over in a parking area and to there amazement hanging in the tree was this lantern. 20200407_181935.jpg 20200407_182045.jpg 20200407_182125.jpg
I do like the lantern it is so easy to use, bright, adjustable light. And it has style about it

As you say it’s not always about an old lamp. Your fellas saved this lantern from rusting away and you have given it new life.

A lovely story and a lovely sentiment too!

    Regards Jeremy

It's the story and light that counts.

Well found there @Darryl Durdin and she’s running well for your Dad, a very nice sentiment.

I’ve heard of the money tree but a lantern tree ....... now that’s one tree I gotta find.
    Cheers
    Pete
