This Optimus 350 I purchased because it held a quite rare Primus globe, it did not look very nice on the photos, but cleaned up nicely and came with a nice Optimus box, much to my surprise.

I believe it was made in the late 1950’s or 1960’s.

In the last photo you can see the exact same lantern in Primus livery, as the Primus 1092

The primus is on the left, at this point in time, they still used their respectively names on everything, such as the Wheel, lid, lid air valve and vapourizer, later these parts either lacked the brand name or simply said Sweden.

Is there a printer’s mark (date?) on the paperwork?

Congratulations on a nice early 350. As the label does not have any Arabic writing on it, I would date it to the late 1950s.

Is there a stamped 6 digit number on one of the top flaps of the carton? I have a theory that Optimus used a similar date number as Primus used after 1956, but only printed it on the box. here is a poor photo of one of mine. I'm guessing it dates that one to week 5 in 1976.

I also believe this one was made in the late fifties, however the lamp is older than the box and is for an 1551, lantern it has no stamp anywhere.

I didn't notice the number on the box. A 1551 box would most likely be from the 90s, so I wouldn't expect any stamping then.
