Bialaddin 305

    I thought I’d have a go at a Bialaddin 305 from 1961. It happened to have quite a significant dent on the underside which I was sure would leak, but it seems to hold pressure just fine ....
    The lamp came to me with no wick or glass, so that was sorted. The paint is in pretty good nick so that can be left.

    You have a nice lantern there and she’s running well.
    That’s a significant dent in the base. I wonder what caused it understanding that the base’s metal is quite thick to hold the pressure without distorting too much.
