    Hi Everyone,

Now I've a bit more time on my hands given the current situation I took out of the garage a 305 I've had in there for a while in an attempt to get it up and running. I can't even removed the hood from the frame and it almost seems welded onto it. The glass is still intact too so have not been too forceful with it. I've soaked it with penetrating oil with no joy and so am wondering what else I can do as never come across this before?!

Hello, most likely you have a problem with a swollen vapourizer, you might have to work loose the air vents on the utside of the hood (3pieces) then remove the porcelained part of the hood, and the glass cylinder, then remove the vapourizer and the burner as a unit.
Then put the vaporuiser in a vice, and punch the burner with a suitable tool to get it of the vapourizer, then hopefully just change out the vapourizer.

Happened to me a couple of times.

Just had a 'break' while working from home and had a quick look at it. Thanks for the advice as you were right. I've got the hood off and all of the burner apart from the bottom section where the mantle sits as that is welded tight onto the vapouriser which will be fun trying to take off!
