Believe me, I have done that before. Most won't believe this but I am also trying to track down a Veritas pump rod that should be right in front of me. I can't find it. I am truly pitiful. I take all my enjoyment out of fettling when I misplace a part which reasonably often. I'm so brain dead I can't learn to put things down if the phone rings or some other distraction comes up and I absent mindlessly put the part I'm carrying down somewhere between my fettling station and whatever it is distracted me. I still have a fair bit of chaos in my garage because of all the shuffling around and boxes to sort through. The camera charger used to sit on a table in the garage. I have moved the table and put the camera charger in a safe place and now I can't remember where that safe place is. I've only just found the cable that connects my camera to the PC. I had 'lost' it for a couple of weeks.
@Lamp Doctor Hahaha, good one Bob. I can't find it, I have stopped looking. I still can't find the Veritas pump rod. My stupidity is slowly killing me. Bob, it is good to see you posting. I do hope you are better.
Matty, I can charge my camera's battery by simply connecting it with my computer. As you found the connecting cable I'd suggest you give that a try! @Matty
@Wim Right, I see, I guess you are correct. I just plugged the phone into the PC which allowed the camera to power up. I had never thought of the PC to charge the camera because the camera turns itself off automatically after 5 minutes of inactive use. I'll leave the camera hooked up and I will report back. I was hoping my daughter may know where the battery charger is but she hasn't seen it. It was my daughters fault, coupled with my own, that I couldn't find my phone cord for a couple of weeks. I'd used her lap top and didn't remove the cord when I'd finished. My daughter found her laptop with the cord in it and removed the cord and put it in a draw in her craft room. The last place I'd have looked for the cord was her craft room not withstanding her bedroom. Those are two rooms I simply wouldn't entertain to look for something of mine. I guess the sorry thing to the whole story was, I never thought to ask her if she had seen my phone cord. If I had of taken the time to simply ask her, the mystery would have been solved. I didn't think to ask her because I couldn't imagine a scenario where she would, out of the blue - never been done before - swipe my phone cord. I just thought it was another case of my own stupidity - stupidity that is normally the cause of my adventures.
