On with the welding helmet! Found my second new Tilley FL6 this week.It is the special model from the Swedish "Statens vattenkraftverk"now Vattenfall. The lamp has the pump in front of the tank. The reason is a tripod that can be mounted around a tree. Coming more pictures in the reference thread, saw that Nils had an equal lamp there.

I'm not envious at all, no, not one little bit I'm not. No sirrree, couldn't be any less envious if I tried... :^o

Anyway, I thought there wasn't that much virus up there to need all that PPE. Unless you're The Swedish Stig. Or maybe it's simply a national characteristic of Swedes to wish to be incognito.

I bet you and Christer have never been seen in the same room... ;)

Either I'm just getting old or anyone that can hold a FL6 in each hand and extend their arms out is someone not to be messed with.

Tell me they were full of fuel and I'd be further impressed.

For your next demonstration, when you get a third Tilley, I'd like to see a 30 second video of you juggling the three.

You seem to have a fun nature, I like you. I wish I was young and strong again and had it all in front of me. There would be a lot I'd do differently.

I'd like to see the two boats, one in each hand.

Those boats are colloquially called a 'Tinny' here in Australia. Just a fun fact for you :)

    Nope! Not Nils.
It was me who posted that Kungliga Vattenfallsstyrensen's special variation of the FL6 with a front mounted pump.
    Seen here.
They were fairly common on the Swedish market some ten years ago, and I still see them pop up now and then. That tree/pole mounted bracket is pretty useful in case you actually should use your lamp as a working lamp in different places.

    Come now![-X ;)
There is actually a picture of me in here somewhere, and I know for sure that I posted one at CCS for more than ten years ago showing me standing on the border between Scotland and England, enjoying a wee dram.

    Quite some camping light!

I guess your Vattenfall company brass tag in the front of the frame also says the year 1953. It has on the others I've seen.
But what number do you have above the year?

But on my wooden box, it just says "Statens vattenfallsverk" not what power plant it belonged to.

Oh well, I assume these were used all over the country on every little or big power station.
Or at least held in storage since they always seems to have been un-used.

Could the number be a contract number?
