Hi,karli Smallest of AIDA... For me, the Petromax and AIDA 100 cp difficult to use. Do you suffer from this problem?(for example, for more oxygen need to detachable hood when burning). Best Regards,Thanks
Sorry, I don't know too. I was seeing. There will be add more hole at outer hood. To increase the air to burning.
Hello Superman. you say mean is because of a little supply oxygen for burining so did not bright? or fire flame around mantle? i wonder. thanks Gunsoo
I'm no expert with Aida lanterns, but if you've got a rich mixture, I would have thought that was more likely to be due to too much fuel rather than a design fault restricting the air (i.e. oxygen) supply. The most common cause of over-fuelling would be an enlarged jet, caused by wear. Just thinking aloud, really...
I have seen a few lanterns with a hole cut into the hood. You do quite often find these Petromax types run brighter with th hood removed and cutting a hole is a quick fix. It is a sign that the mixture is not right. This is critical especially with these small lanterns and even minor changes in air suply or jet size will have a big effect on the burn. ::Neil::
