What a great experience this has been tonight with the light up and the fine display of all these lamps and lanterns! I couldn't "master" Zoom... just too damn dumb when it comes to modern technology. When I went to work in 1962, we had Fortran and cobol (probably spelled it wrong) for computer languages. That and a number 2 pencil was all you needed. I forgot all the computer crap and now I don't know if they still make #2 pencils! Times change, I know. Have to move on. All I can say is this has been a wonderful dose of medician. It lifted my spirits and made me realize what a small world this is. People from all different countries sharing in one great endeavour: the preservation of these fine lamps and lanterns and the warm friendships I have made as a result. God bless you all and stay safe! Oh, yes and I did manage to light a Coleman tonight; Coleman 234 kerosene job.
I like that. A bit miffed to have missed the zoom which could have been fun. Any plans for another....? It's free after all.
