Well I got myself a millspeck the other day and as it needs a serious clean Ide like to take it apart but I have not run into this lantern before and have seamed to hit a road block.. So I’m not sure how to get this apart and I would sure hate to do damage trying..hopefully someone could lead me in the right direction For the record dated 1 of 52 Thanks in advance Chris
Hi, I don't know if this is the official way to dismantle this part but it has worked on 3 mil-specs that I have. If you loosen the locking nut between the two lower horizontal bars of the burner (upwards), it allows you to lift the cage so it locks on to the generator connection and works as a spanner. Then by holding the font & turning the cage anti-clockwise the generator connection will unscrew from the valve assembly. You can then remove the cage & collar & get to the font and valve assembly. Hope that helps.
