Just acquired another 246B, only cost me £15. It's not in the greatest condition but I think it will fettle up nice. I will post some piccy's when it's done.
I know I a lot of people don't like the X246B, but I think they look great all polished up and working good luck, I have 7 that are in working order, 1 is red, 1 brass , 3 platted and 2 gold, enjoy
It will come up nicely with care and a bit of elbow grease, (tried to find a tub of that on Amazon... Oh there's some.)) I always restore my old lamps, paint, polish, as if out of the shop rather than keep them all rusty and full of what a lot of people call patina (most don't even know what patina is let alone pronounce it correctly.) if it was a rare lamp that would be another story, but me finding a rare lamp is... Rare!
It's a Tilley, Just gave it a clean and it's come up ok. I have given the cage a good brush and primed it, can't make my mind up what colour to paint it, any one got any suggestions ? Well here are some photo's First one is as it is, second one the money shot. Not bad for £15
It looks good , the paint on the tank font and black hood is excellent .. I would leave it as is if it were mine good luck m8tey
Wow that looks excellent, great work, and maybe black bail would really look great with the gold. Or this colour
Yes I shall leave the Fount and Hood as they are, just cant make my mind up what colour to paint the cage.
Well, for £15 you could pick up any amount of 2nd hand cages and spray different colours........... and ...'Go Compaaarrrre!'
