Hi here we go again but this one is a little different as in the burner is attached, not see this though I’ve been looking in the directory but can see anything like.
They have to be the correct way on your computer before you upload them. Unless you're using an iPhone when this is a problem we've had previously. Anyway, click the 'Report' button (bottom left) on your post and ask the mods to rotate them for you... Oh, I've just noticed - if by "burner" you mean pre-heater torch, that's one from a Vapalux military lantern. It'll work just as well as the Tilley one and you can't lose it. You will need a spirit container with a spout, though. BTW, the burner is the three-armed thing inside the hood...
Thanks David, yes its from a iphone ill email the photos to myself & turn them before i upload them. yes the pre-heater thats what i meant lol as you can tell im a true novice at this but loving it all. Can i get a container with a spout easy enough? or make one with some felxi hose. ill google it see what comes up. what age do you think? thanks again
Bialaddin / Vapalux did supply spirit cans with the lanterns but anything will do - people just tend to cobble up something. A squeezy container with a shortish spout, usually...
Is it something that been added or did it come with it sorry for sounding thick As I can see it’s a Tilley but the rest not sure do the numbers on the bottom mean anything?
By the way, if using an iPhone, always take photographs with the button to the bottom for portrait, and to the right for landscape to stop you photos being uploaded in the wrong orientation. Cheers Tony
A previous owner has added it - you can't lose it and it saves you carrying around the separate Tilley torch...
I use a medical syringe with a blunt needle from ebay. perfect for lamps and stoves, and you can measure how much meths is needed so you don't waste it. It fits under vapalux globes and does not go everywhere when you fill. Also good for spot oiling applications, you can get them in multi packs
