I have found a Tilley SDR with the reflectors in very good condition; sadly the legs have been soldered in place and the rest of the lamp is not very pretty. I would like to remove the reflectors and transfer them to another SDR with very tatty reflectors. The upper one is not a problem but the lower one is proving more difficult. Can anyone offer any advice please?
If you are decommissioning the rest of the lamp could you de-solder the legs? I believe the top ring can be removed and the bottom reflector lifts of the legs?
