I have this Coleman 242c and nothing but air was coming out of the generator, so I took the generator off and there is just barely any fuel like spewing and bubbling out. What’s wrong?
Assuming that the fount is holding pressure, most likely the fuel/air (f/a) tube below the valve is clogged. You will need to remove the valve from the fount, disassemble the f/a tube and clean it. Pay attention to the placement of the spring when reassembling. This diagram should help. Part 242a-148 is the f/a tube assembly. https://www.oldcolemanparts.com/diagrams/242B.jpg
Yeah I cleaned it with an ultrasonic cleaner and then by hand and now it... works. But the mantle is splotchy and not completely lit.
The jet/gas tip on the vapouriser/generator may be enlarged or loose, the vapouriser may need to be taken apart and cleaned.
