These old lamps and the box with accessories have just come home to me. Optimus, Petromax Primus and more. There are a few hours of work before they light up. I will update with monney shot after I have repaired them. Tom
Yes Martin. You are right. The lamp on the right is a gas lamp which was used by KTAS. Copenhagen telephone limited company. Otherwise, it works the same way with the mantle I searched the internet to find more information about the lamp, but without success. Tom
I was going to say the one on the right was a gas lamp, but Martin got in first. I have a Tilley BT26 version, which I have to admit is a great lamp, now I've got the regulator sorted. They seem to run at a higher pressure than the normal regulators.
Those gas lamps were used a lot by KTAS, so there are quite a lot of them around Denmark (mainly in the Copenhagen area).
Hey. As promised some pictures of the gas lamp in in operation. It's true as @malcolmrace writes that the lamp runs with a high pressure regulator. and for ROBBO55 here are pictures you would like to see. Tom
Just an update on my scrap after fettled. All lanterns work. Primus 1089 Optimus 350 Optimus 1551 China gas lamp And still many spare parts
