Just a quick question, do I need to change the straight vaporaser to one with a Prestonloop to be able to run a Petromax 829 B on kerosene ?
Not necessarily. It will work with kerosene, but not in cold conditions. The Preston loop ensures good vapourisation, even when it is cold. The original Radius 120 was advertised for both petrol and kerosene even though it had a straight vapouriser. The 119 with the Preston loop came out the next year though. Must have had problems.
Yes, I did try my Hasag 52 that has a straight vaporaser, and had it running on kerosene, it did work, but I need to check that one also. Thank you for your reply
