New seals installed and the first one (left) light off with no issues at all. the second one (right) struggled to light, I thought maybe down to using bioethanol instead of meths,. However it did light but struggled, burns bright when pumping but soon dies out, I'm thinking the vaporiser is partially blocked. I am delighted with the outcome though, these haven't been fired for years, they are dated Jan and March 1962. I don't think they have been messed with but which pump clamp is correct as one is brass the other is not.

@Jacky Young Don't pump too much, you could end up blowing the base plate ! I'm not sure about the pumps. Assuming the lantern on the right is the one with a brass pump, it's also got a brass control cock so maybe came that way. Swap the vapourisers round and see if there is any change in behaviour. Sounds like it's loosing pressure. Did you make sure all surfaces were clean before and after fitting new seals ? You can check if the new seals are doing their job by pumping pressure into the tank and then holding it under water, air bubbles will indicate escaping air.
I thought i was the only one having lamps in pairs I never feel complete if i do not have a pair or any lamps if they are common enough and without waking up the next day with wallet showing me a negative cash value.. Right now only my E41 and Coleman 327 do not have partners..
