    Thank you guys!

I am still waiting for the proper sized glass to arrive [-o<
Meanwhile i only got the undersized britelyt glass.

I'm not sure if this trick is common or not. I used 0.4mm brass art wire to get the glass to stay centred with respect to the upper ring. And of course get rid of the rattling.
My usual trick to overcome overly noisy glass when pumping is to add some kind of a soft spring. Here's what i mean.

Notice the horseshoe shaped brass strip.

    And with the glass

However, this trick doesn't work on the L6 frame. I'll have to settle with the simple wire trick for now. Till that undersized glass breaks? :-k But because of the even gap all around the glass, it lets air thru the top frame. Making the lamp sensitive to upward draft. I noticed this only after hanging the lantern up ](*,)

These glass bits… well, you can't go outdoors with them. You won't be able to see a thing

The only thing similar, is that, depending on models, these 'lamps' can be space heaters too
