I have just joined today! I've have recently got in to these lamps, I currently own 4 Tilleys and 1 Vapalux. I am trying to source a new glass for the Vapalux M1 but I am having trouble locating one. Would anyone have any ideas where I could get one please
    Thank you

Thank you very much, I have now found what I was looking.
And yes I agree it's getting a bit addictive, even my wife has started to look at me funny

 Embrace it, it is good for you!

Welcome, glad to hear you are enjoying it. You have already figured out that wife's and partners don't always see the attraction of a well working lantern.

We've all been there but remember... a lantern is often less expensive than a new frock. That might come in handy if you're ever in a 'discussion' with the wife!

    No kidding!
When my girlfriend of today came to visit me for the first time a few years ago, she was pretty stunned (read: shocked ...) about all the stoves, lamps and blowtorches I had on display all over the house.
It didn't get much better when she realized how much crap - sorry; collectibles - I had in boxes in the basement...

And I can assure you, it doesn't help to explain that some few rare pieces of this junk are possible to sell for around $1500, or so, and most of the lamps can go to S.E. Asia for atleast half of that.
It just increases the madness in her eyes.
    Sell the crap! That's what I hear...

And quite frankly, I understand her.

I thought it was a good excuse to join a forum. I might try and bring it to Rutland, just need to order the parts now
