More on the lantern globes... Please don't pay any attention to the condition of the garage! It's a mess and I know it! Just look at the globes. These are not just wickie globes either, they're a number of Coleman, Tilley, Optimus, and Schott globes for Aidas as well! Haven got to all the old large green lettered Coleman globes - yet! A real mess!! This is a warning to all you new collectors! Be sure you are on "life support" before you attempt anything like! Oh yeah, I haven't gotten around to the pre WWII Feuerhand globes yet but they're coming soon!
@george sorry, I didn't see any globes. I was distracted by the "shiny" lanterns....... top collection. On a more serious note, I am sure I am not alone in requiring period Coleman globes - just in case you have a desire to re-home any.
@Alex Smith Alex, I'm pretty sure I have about 8 or 10 straight green lettered Coleman globes and several green sunrise globes, too. It's just a matter of getting my hands on them! I should have kept them in some kind of order!
I am really ashamed of the condition of the basement... Just concentrate on the globes, please Keep in mind, these globes are three deep in some areas and smaller ones are jammed inside larger ones! Wife says, I "should have the walls "padded" so I won't hurt myself. That way I can live down there!! Create my own little asylum... lol
Wow George, what a collection for sore eyes. mind you, I wish my garage was in such a tidy mess as yours.
I haven't seen my TK for years, now, but I know it's got a cleaning needle - without a point, unfortunately...
georg, it is your garage, you will change it if you want and can, or keep it as you like it. Very nice parts can be found !
