The recent global situation disallowed me from getting parts from the usual places like Germany or Korea. I had to go the other less famous route but also unfavorable in current times. The Far East Thous Winds globes I'm not sure who has got these funky glass here. I haven't buy into the trend which seems to be picking up in Korea Japan and China.. I just settle with what i need to get, a 150cp clear chimney.. Here it is on the left. Notice the color of the one from Pmax on the right. Their measurements.. Thous Winds and Pmax Something i noticed too but cannot photograph is the smoothness of the surface on the Thous Winds. Its almost like comparing a wick lamp chimney to a modern Aladdin chimney. That tactile dense feeling to it too. Has anyone else bought any glass from the Far East?
I really like the amber glass... I heard somewhere it keeps the bugs away outside at night if you run a normal white lamp elsewhere
I like the snowflakes one ( maybe for an Xmas lightup) but I wonder if they would be visible on a 500 ? Chris
ha ha, I have read that a blue glass would keep bugs away. It would atract bugs. But my idea is that this only functions for UV (?) blue light. So a special wavelength. But bugs which focus on heat and not on colour will meet any lantern alight and die.
@Fireexit1 I think the 250cp and 150cp probably makes sense, but not 500cp one I do actually like the looks or the swirly ones. They do have another range Thous Winds Glass Coleman style
