    A Korean Vapalux E41S
The S stands for 304 stainless steel. Stainless shade reflector too but cracked on mine.

With one of those aftermarket reusable steel vaporizers. Steel tube with brass jet the size of a 150cp or 200cp.

As with most steel lanterns, this too should run cool when adjusted properly. One thing though, I wish vapaluxs were brighter, just a bit more [-o<

Well if they've fitted a nipple/jet rated at 150 or 200cp, that's why - the originals were rated at 300cp (and probably made most of that, too)...

It looks like they did a real good job in these reproduction Vapalux's. Can you buy spare parts?

Thanks, Tony! Lanterns are beautiful but expensive as hell! Personally, if I had that much money to spend I think I would keep my power dry and look for an original one and if I had to spend a tad more, I'd go for it!
    My two cents worth...

Is it me or is that Vapalux website a complete pain in the arse? - doesn't stay still long enough to get a decent look-at and if it does, it's only half the lantern on show! Is there a lamp/lantern sales and spares section anywhere? If there is, I can't find it... ](*,)

Edit - found it - it's the three horizontal lines at the top left...

 Yes, a rugged little number, indeed - just like those used by the British Army in the field - NOT!...

...and somebody was asking the other day if it was OK to paint a Tilley lantern silver!

When I was in Incheon (Korea) last year, I made contact by email with the Vapalux premises in Seoul, but unfortunately I ran out of time to visit it.

They may also be closed and unable to operate during the latest COVID-19 restrictions in Seoul.

@george Sometimes i do get buyer's remorse, like why didn't i get one from Carl when he was still in the biz. I think he wanted £199 for a brass E41 with a steel frame. That's in the same price range when i have the shipping cost together

But obviously, for the more common models, they do come up so often on the bay with more reasonable prices. I cannot speak for the Korean brass lamp. This stainless one is a fingerprint magnet. A pain to polish the hood too when it turns too discolored after the lamp runs too rich or not burning right. Autosol on stainless :-({|=

Wow, they are sold out on pressure lamps, no way to get one.
Even the Pink Lady found a lover.
Let's see how they will go on.

It is interesting to see what modern manufacturing can bring to the hobby.

It would be great if they made a hanging lamp...

The thing with the stainless steel tanks, the bottom seems are welded shut. The brass pump tube, brass bung, brass screw inserts for the frame mounting and the brass filler hole are soldered in. What solder was used? I don't know. The top hood, discolors fast if the burn is too rich. too hot. From time to time i buff out the hood to shiny stainless again and coat it with paraffin oil at each light up. Somehow that keeps the steel from turning straw yellow or blue or dirty grey.

i am not sure why Vapalux quit making the T10 table lamps.. There is another Tilley manufacturing workshop in Taiwan? Not exactly the actual Tilley but makes to Tilley's specs.. I don't know exactly, I do not own any Tilley's to go that rout.
