This photograph was taken by a friend of mine recently and it shows another view of some Shetland trees. Trees are scarce here because of the wind and the salt air, but these trees are in a sheltered dale.
Hello fellow lampers, this topic has now been viewed over 10,000 times and I'm delighted that it continues to be of interest. This link shows a drone video of my area of Shetland, to see the video in full size click on the Vimeo tab on the right hand corner of the tool bar.

This image which was taken by the same person shows Lunna House and the link below shows it's history. Welcome to Lunna House
This image was taken by a friend of mine when I showed her a remote and difficult to find part of Shetland and she has named that place the hidden gem.
Here are two more images from the same source, note the difference in colour between the tarn/loch/lake and the sea in the first image.
This image which is from the same source is of The Hole of Scrada, which is a result of a blow hole in the cliffs and the power of the Atlantic ocean. It's located in the north west of the Shetland mainland. The link shows a view from the air. hole of scrada - Google Search

I see your point, but the Vikings were some of my ancestors. This image was taken by a Nordic friend of mine when she was here on holiday recently.
Thanks Stevie and it's dull wet and windy here too. This image was sent to me by a friend who is currently in Lapland.
