This is a 1968 Cadillac De Ville, convertible. It's been in a controlled storage climate since 1979! The car is in unbelievable condition. My son is now the owner. He does restoration work, mainly on Corvettes, so apparently he knows what he needs for a full restoration. The inside is what needs restoring and he says he has everything to completely do it. The outside is just jaw-dropping. It's a real monster in size. It's 80 inches wide and about 19 feet long! Absolute perfect outside condition! Everything is in working order. The car even has air conditioning! It was purchased and garaged in Florida since 1968. It was transported up here to Maryland several months ago. (If only I was 35-40 years younger)... Enjoy!
It look really good. Nice condition. The first year of the 472! I really like that engine. I have had many cars over the years, but my -69 DeVille convertible is the only one I couldn't get rid of. Practically no problems at all since 1990 when I bought it as a youngster to be my first US-car. It's a keeper
Now this does indeed bring back some memories of a time when they actually made cars instead of the painted over beer cans of this time period. Your son is a very lucky man to find a two door convertible in such good shape. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Norman
