    Hey.
Is it possible from these photos and determine if this Hasag is for gasoline or kerosene.
There is nothing written I am aware that the pictures are not good but do not have a better camera.

    Tom

Straight vaporizer normally point to gasoline.
Looking at the tank I guess you ahve an east German, Leipziger Werke HASAG copy.
Can you see a black stamp on the bottom ?

Works well as it looks. One detail: the cap of teh pre heater should be down.

    It's a great find!

A word of caution, if you are using some type of petrol/gasoline/Coleman fuel etc., do not use the pressure release on the filler cap until the lantern is cold, as petrol vapour released on to a hot lantern is dangerous.

    Hey Jeff
I have tried with the kerosene, but it lights big flames.
    With gasolin, it runs perfectly.
I know the gasoline lanterns well, also has a Primus 1060, which also runs on gasolin ..
    Thanks for all the answers.

    Tom

You are welcome Tom, and it's good news that you are well acquainted with the operation of petrol/gasoline lanterns.

Some years ago, I was in contact with a bloke who was using petrol in Anchor lanterns, I advised him that doing so was very dangerous.
