my account was hacked and password changed a few times and not by me. i got a warning from paypal about it and did what they said as i was charged a 10.00 dollar fee from draftkings and was trying to get that back. they said they could not do a thing about it and closed the case so i closed my account as i could no longer trust the organization. my payment to cpl was processed though them so it will not process and i need to find out how to change my method of payment.
That is bad. Paypal has strict rules that only benefit their business. Any idea how your account was hacked ?
It was boring. I have been using PayPal for many years and always have been satisfied with their service. It is easy to use when shopping abroad I think. Tom
Sorry to hear that. I've had no problems but have just changed my password after several years (prior to your post). I'm glad i have now.
i left pitman marine bad feedback due to a broken shade that was packed so terrible i could not believe it left the business like that. they were quite mean in their communications about the situation and made fun of my phone and computer and lack of picture capability. i think they are the ones who did it as i have not had any problems until up to now.
I've had emails before saying a similar thing and it asks you to click on a link to change your password - that's the obvious giveaway it's a scam, once you open their link and change your password the scammer has access to your account. Ive had no problems with PayPal (except their charges) so open a new account with a new email address, I'm sure everything will be ok
NEVER EVER under any circumstance click a link received by e-mail about your account on any website (be it paypal, ebay, amazon, netflix or whatever) ALWAYS open a fresh webpage and type the address yourself, then login using your credential on the website's SECURE (https) web page. All these supposed hackings are more like confidence scams, essentially the victim clicks the link received by email , opens a fake web page and gives his login credentials by typing them.
