Today my mother called me over claiming to have something for me, and to my surprise it was this... This is not my first 427 and yet a have a few questions... first of all I know of the q99 and also the r55 but what’s this? My next question is likely a simple one but none the less.. how does the date stamp on this work? It’s a little hard to see in the photo but it’s a 6 and a 3.. Thanks in advance for any help.. Chris..
The generator is a Q77. From 1924 to 1930, U.S. lamps and lanterns had a single digit number for the year and a one or two digit number the month. On U.S. made lamps and lanterns, the numbers represent year and month though on Canadian models, the numbers often represented month and year. By process of elimination: Coleman didn't start date stamping their lamps until 1924 so the 3 must represent the month i.e. March, therefor the number 6 represents 1926
@podbros The plans is a light clean up, try and make it function then hang it from the ceiling with the rest of them.. the problem is there are far more on the too be cleaned up side than one the ready to go side... lol
