The tops of my Anchor Lamps have got discoloured with the heat. What is the best way to put the Shine back on them ?

If you use them, they will discolour. For brass, polish with Autosol, but note that brass will rapidly discolour with heat. Some for nickel and stainless steel, but discolouration will be slower than brass.

    Cheers

Depends on what they are made of but recently ' Harpic Max Power X10' was discussed. There are several YouTube clips showing it getting rid of discolouration on motorcycle exhaust front pipes, which are generally SS.

Use the polish motorbikers use on exhausts.
But it will not prevent discolouration.

I've tried Harpic x10 on some of my Anchor hoods but it didn't work as well as I'd hoped. It makes it a bit better but it's not a perfect solution and as @WimVe says it won't stop it happening again.
