I got a bunch of stainless steel screen for free-- used some to make a globe for my Ghost Plated 242~~~ this is one of my "never sell" lanterns. Copper plated it- then used a used a vinyl Coleman sticker on it and replated with Nickel- pulled off the sticker !! Voila" ghost plating
Looks great in all the different metal hues. I made a similar tight weave mesh chimney for a Coleman 222 I use night fishing. No more broken globes when I put it on a river bank and it falls over on the gravel. Mike.
Well done. Probably a good alternate solution for those hard to find odd sized globes too. I have some much finer stainless filter mesh, so you have given me an idea; thanks.
