Im fairly new at collecting and ressurecting old lanterns. Recently found this old girl, she's in rough shape. And as you can see that blue thingy is rusted out. Any leads where i can buy this part?

Your lamp looks to be a later made in China Colmax. I suspect a Petromax or a Petromax clone part will probably fit. Please, don't take that as gospel.

Col-max was made by Coleman. I'm not sure if there had been some sort of collaboration between Coleman and Graetz at some point in the past. It was pretty much based on the highly popular Graetz's Petromax, which had taken a huge chunk of the market, especially in Europe and much of Asia.
    Its suppose to be kerosene-fueled.
I'm not sure if these were ever manufactured in China.
It looks to me that this lantern was meant to cater for specific markets in both the Middle-East countries and in Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia and possibly Malaysia too. The original spare parts are not too common but those from the Petromax or some clones might fit.

Hi @MYN , this has been discussed before on this site, the earliest Col-Max lanterns were made by Coleman (in Canada I believe) but production was then moved to China. My Col-Max was def. made in China (and has a cracked, leaking fount... ).

@Tevita palu, do you own the lantern or are you asking information about a lantern that is for sale ?

    Thanks for the note, @Wim
    Haven't read through that yet.
Col-Max could be found once in while here but I've not had any yet.

    Welcome to CPL @Tevita palu
The inner hood (blue thingy) is rusted but I wouldn't say rusted out. I would try getting the lantern going before looking for a replacement.
