Another Pirk Pie comes back to life, finally got time to re-seal this lamp i just needed to change the seals over. The lamp is in very good condition so I won't be restoring this one I will use her in my shed, gives off amazing light I believe. I'm always amazed how brilliant these lamps work.
Boy, I would love to go on a antique hunt with you! You really come back with some outstanding finds! These old pork pie Tilley's are great! You have a lovely garden and shed, too!
Thanks all, @BigStevie I have 3x 1st, 2x 2nd and 4x 3rd that's 9 somehow they multiplied, without me even knowing they are shifty little buggers.
Your name puts a smile on my face, it reminds me of my dad, he would often greet younger relatives with “ Now then Buggerlugs “
Looking and working so well Aalthough a relative newcomer I am already of the opinion that Tilleys are the great "working" lamp, a couple of months ago I dug out my first ever lamp a Tilley 246 from a box in the loft wiped it down and out of curiosity tried to fire it up with the aincent paraffin which was in it, it fired up straight away and burned brightly, testament to a good design.
