@bp4willi - you beat me to it today. I'll be lighting mine tomorrow. I'd like to thank you for a great original post. It took me a few days to figure out why you had four lanterns displayed but only one lit. A hazy memory from the 1980's UK children's program "Blue Peter" and I remembered the weekly lighting of the Advent Candles in the run up to Christmas. I'll hopefully have a mix of Petromax, Vapalux and Bialaddin tomorrow - depending on how my fettling goes Sunday Morning!

Here in the mountainous regions of Lincolnshire we don't go in for too much Christmassy stuff as transportation during the deep snows is difficult. Mrs R100 however insists that the garden has some flashy battery operated modern thingys which are completely out of my understanding as they are not paraffin powered. Nevertheless I thought I'd show up these modern upstarts for what they are. I know which I prefer.
